I love Tim Poole’s shrill voice coupled with Maher’s boring voice. This is garbage. Can we try to reward productive people in our society instead of these pedantic assholes?

Am I crazy! I post shit like this (see below), and people get politely uncomfortable!

“ WELL, PIGS MUST BE FLYING, AND HELL MUST'VE FROZEN OVER, BECAUSE THE VIEW WAS ACTUALLY SPEAKING FACTS FOR A CHANGE.

And what exactly is The View making sense about?...

The Democratic Party just launched a $20 million initiative called “SAM,” short for “Speaking with American Men.” The goal? Figure out why younger men aren’t voting blue… and fix it by learning how to “speak bro.”

You can’t make this shit up…

Apparently, they’re studying the language, tone, and viral content men respond to online, even diving into video game platforms, to fine-tune their messaging.

Because nothing says “we hear you” like a political algorithm trying to mimic Call of Duty lingo.

Honestly, this sounds less like a strategy and more like a dating seminar.

You’ve seen the type, some alpha tries to teach men how to trick women into bed with a few memorized buzzwords. The message? “Don’t be honest, they’re stupid. Just say you love The Notebook and you’re in.”

Sorry, that doesn’t work with women, and it won’t work with men either.

How about this: instead of spending $20 million to try and “game” men into voting blue, maybe stop browbeating them with terms like “toxic masculinity” and “mansplaining.”

If Democrats really want to win back the male vote, they’d have better success addressing the fact that boys are falling behind in school at every level, and four stats men lead in are, isolation, incarceration, overdose, and suicide.

With that in mind… are the Dems planning to spend $20 million decoding the “syntax” of every other demographic too? Because aside from Black women, Republicans gained ground with nearly every other group in the last election.

Based on Republicans raw vote numbers in 2024, as recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau and certified election data, it’s reasonable to conclude that a significant number of voters who supported Obama in 2008 and 2012, and Hillary Clinton in 2016, ultimately left the Democratic Party in favor of the Republican Party.

These were voters who had previously backed a Black president and the first major female presidential candidate. Their shift points to a deeper dissatisfaction with the direction of the Democratic Party, not a wave of bigotry.

So, stop saying otherwise, because at that point, you’re not defending values, you’re just sounding like a bigot in denial.

Like it or not, men get a vote. And as is the case with women, men generally aren’t idiots either. So, if Democrats want to win those votes back, they might be better off focusing on where they went wrong rather than constantly whining about what the Republicans are doing.

In other words, stop complaining about the garbage in the neighbor’s yard long enough to see the garbage in your own.

Here’s some advice, keep the 20m and use it for something useful, because if you really want men back, start speaking with them, rather than down to them.

Link if you dare:

Oh, and note Joy Behar at 4:47, with the bigoted statement amongst otherwise intelligent discussion. And the audience actually claps. Pretty sad times we live in!”

Appropos of the one Maher read here, there was one similar many years ago: A man was sitting at his desk, phone in hand, and says somethjng like: “No, Tuesday’s no good for lunch. How about never?”
